A LAN is the part of the network everything else depends on. Get the switching, addressing and segmentation right and the network is invisible for a decade. Get it wrong and you inherit intermittent faults that get blamed on the internet connection for years.
We design the addressing scheme, VLAN structure and switch topology before anything is racked, then build to that design rather than improvising on site. Access, distribution and core are treated as separate layers even in a single-floor office, because that's what makes the network extensible later.
Every deployment is handed over with an IP schema, port map, VLAN table and switch configuration backup. You own the network, including if you ever replace us.
Publishing exclusions is deliberate. Nobody in this market does it, and it's the fastest way to avoid a variation conversation later.

If you have VoIP, cameras, guest Wi-Fi or any compliance requirement, yes — unmanaged switches can't segment traffic or prioritise voice. For a handful of desks with none of that, they're honestly unnecessary and we'll say so.
Usually, if they're still vendor-supported and have the port count and PoE budget. We'll audit what's there and tell you what's reusable rather than defaulting to replacing everything.
Cabling is the physical layer — the runs, patch panels and certification. LAN setup is the active layer on top: switches, VLANs, addressing and routing. Most projects need both, and we quote them together.
